Services
Four things we do, usually together. Every one ends in files you own and a result you can measure.
Electronics design
Schematics and multilayer PCB layout from requirements to a board that passes its first power-up. We design around parts with healthy supply and second sources where we can, and we review every board for manufacturability before it is ordered.
- You get reviewed schematics, layout, Gerbers, bill of materials and assembly drawings
- Typical work power and battery, RF and wireless, sensors and analogue front ends, motor drive stages
Firmware
Embedded C and C++ on bare metal or an RTOS, written against the real board. Drivers, protocols, power management and an update path that keeps the product alive for years, with tests that run on the hardware.
- You get source in your repository, a build you can reproduce, release notes and a flashing tool
- Typical work ESP32, STM32 and nRF families; BLE, Wi‑Fi, CAN and Modbus; secure over-the-air updates
Motion and robotics
Motor control from the gate driver up: brushless and stepper drives, encoders and IMUs, and the control loops that make a mechanism move the way it was drawn. We tune on the real mechanism, with the real load, and we leave the limits and the safety behaviour documented.
- You get drive electronics, control firmware, tuning reports and a test procedure
- Typical work field-oriented control, kinematics and trajectories, joint and gripper modules, motion stages
Prototype to production
Design for the factory that will build it. Manufacturability and testability reviews, test fixtures, flashing and provisioning tools, and the documents a line needs to build the product without us on the phone.
- You get a production pack, a test fixture with its software, and support through the first batch
- Typical work DFM and DFT, end-of-line test, serialisation and provisioning, yield analysis
How we charge
- Fixed price per stage for scoped work: scope, design, bring-up, iterate, production. The price is in the scope document.
- Day rate for open-ended work: supporting a line, extending a code base, reviewing someone else's design.
- Monthly retainer when you want a standing engineering team without hiring one.
Which one do you need?
If you are not sure, send what you have. The scope will say.
